It blows my mind when ppl think being in prison isn’t considered slavery or prisoners don’t think we’re enslaved. But then I also have to take into consideration that majority aren’t conscious of what’s been designed to keep us unaware by keeping us uneducated to the system were all wrapped up in. We must begin to distinguish the difference between the European slave trade which gave a foundation for antebellum slavery that most of us know about which Amerikka profited from. But taking that experience or culture which was a way of life and comparing it to what has been built into modern day slavery and shed the proper light on this useless system.
How can one compare what happened in the past to what’s going on today? We aren’t slaveholders anymore or we aren’t slaves no more so why do we keep bringing this up for? These are some of the questions I’ve heard over the yrs from both whites and blacks.Well what alot of ppl don’t know is that only certain whites owned slaves and those were ppl who had money and the majority worked for the slaveholders or profited in some form from slavery. These ideals, laws and policies are what brings a society together and everyone has blood on there hands because this became the land of opportunity because it was taken from the Native Americans and Afrikans worked this land for no wages and their language and identity was taken. People migrated to Amerikka to escape poverty and oppression from their homeland and ended up adopting the mentality of those they ran from. And for centuries Afrikans were oppressed and exploited and treated less then animals from white American ancestors who not only shaped this country but most importantly passed traditions and mentalities of hate for all these generations up to today. This tradition of hate is the DNA of white America and in some form has seeped into every established institution in this country but has evolved because white America has so called evolved but let me share with you some things that has alot of similarities but only speaking of the so called justice system at this moment.
The reality white America has to face is laws in America were made by racist white men and our first crime that was committed and we were punished for was the color of my skin.My skin tone left my ancestors with no rights by the same politicians, judges, lawyers, etc that became the core of this country and still have a impact on Amerikkkan culture. The shores of Afrika where we were first kidnapped and taken from our families after being tricked by the European in order to put their scheme together and turned our way of life into thinking it was evil to justify their fuckery. The shores have become the ghettos where modern day colonizers monitor and oppress ppl of color. The cops look for anything for probable cause to harass for example how we dress, walk, talk, hairstyles, etc because its not their way of life just like our color was used to invade our world back then. The juvenile facilities are like the breeding plantations to groom ppl of color to get use to future enslavement. Now with a record the cop now becomes the bounty hunter or slave catcher sometimes framing ppl of color for so called crimes they didn’t commit. The county has become the holding facilities just like the holding of Afrikans who waited for the slave ships that forced them into something they never agreed to become apart of. Just like the judges who convict ppl of color for laws we never agreed to follow but have been forced to abide by even if intentions aren’t best for us. The buses and planes are the slave ships of our day who puts ppl of color from different cities, states,so called gangs together just like different tribes were forced on them slave ships and taken to a strange land. The reception centers for prison are the modern day auction blocks where u are stripped naked in front of strangers, checked for diseases, hair is cut, tats and scars are documented. Then you are given uniforms and a inmate # that u must learn because that is more important then your name because to the oppressor that is your new name.
Once you have been sold to a plantation/prison u are sent there where u are met with CO’s have been trained to watch and distrust u based off stereotypes that been fed to them by the media. The slave whips have become billy clubs, mace, shields, etc. U work for free or for pennies while prisoners make all kind of things that major corporations make millions off and if u refuse then u got to the hole.
The mental and physical torture u face in here from CO’S and their supervisor’s from being called niggers, bitches, coons etc for no reason just out of spite. From being beaten while handcuffed because u spoke back or they are just having a bad day. From murdering ppl and saying they committed suicide. Playing with ppl food, destroying mail, harassing ppl families on visits to discourage families from taking them long drives to see u.And there’s many more examples that I can compare to slavery.
The point of me writing this is just like we all agree that slavery was wrong back then well its still wrong today. We as humans have a morale obligation to stop something that’s wrong or isn’t working because it was designed to hold another race back or out of society. There isn’t any excuse on why we can’t figure another solution out because that would be a lie and we will all be apart of the wrong side of history because we failed to act due to us being lazy.
